Terms & Conditions

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") are an agreement between you and CleanONE ("we", "us") for your use of the CleanONE app ("the App"). By downloading, creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. The service

CleanONE helps you manage your Android device by scanning for and removing junk files and app cache, finding large files, freeing memory and locking selected apps. Features may change, be added or be removed over time. The amount of space or memory freed depends on your device and is not guaranteed.

3. Your account

  • You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to create an account.
  • You can sign in with your Google account, or with your email address and a password. Use an email address that belongs to you; you must verify it by opening the link we send before you can use the App.
  • Keep your password secret and don't reuse it from other services. CleanONE will never ask for your password. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use.
  • If you forget your password, use "Forgot password?" on the login screen to get a reset link by email. Email delivery depends on your email provider and may occasionally be delayed or go to spam.
  • If you lose access to your email address, you may not be able to recover your account. Contact us to move or delete it.
  • Creating an account or logging in requires that your device's advertising ID and device details (such as model, Android version, Android ID and IP address) are linked to your account, as described in the Privacy Policy. You agree to this by tapping "Agree & continue" on the login screen. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
  • You can ask us to delete your account at any time — see Delete account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App on a device you do not own or are not authorised to manage.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, modify or redistribute the App except as permitted by law.
  • Interfere with or attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, Firebase backend or other users' accounts.
  • Create accounts automatically or in bulk, or use the App for any unlawful purpose.

5. Cleaning, deletion and App Lock

Deleted files usually cannot be recovered. Please review what you remove, and keep backups of anything important.

  • Cleaning removes cache and junk files. Apps may rebuild their cache over time, and some cache can't be removed by Android.
  • Large files are deleted only when you select them and confirm.
  • Auto clean taps "Clear cache" in Android Settings on your behalf; it is designed never to clear app data. Behaviour can vary between phone manufacturers and Android versions.
  • App Lock adds a layer of privacy but is not a substitute for your device's screen lock. If you forget your PIN, you may need to reset App Lock.

6. Permissions

Some features need Android permissions such as All files access, Usage access, Notifications or the optional Accessibility service. You choose whether to grant them and can revoke them at any time in Android Settings; features that depend on them will then stop working. See the Privacy Policy for details.

7. Intellectual property

The App, including its design, code, graphics and the CleanONE name and logo, belongs to CleanONE and is protected by law. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on devices you own or control, under these Terms.

8. Third-party services

The App uses third-party services, including Google Firebase (authentication and database) and Google Play. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to your use of those services. We are not responsible for third-party services.

9. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that the App will free a particular amount of storage or memory or improve performance.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CleanONE will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, files, profits or device functionality arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Termination

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you break these Terms or misuse the service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers and limitation of liability) will survive.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in India will have jurisdiction over any disputes, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will change the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the App. Continuing to use the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
